Jan Lauinger

I’m Jan. I build secure digital products to simplify processes.

I’ve loved solving complex engineering problems for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Germany, first Lego, then computers and systems architecture quickly became my playground. That curiosity led me to the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where I immersed myself in electrical and computer engineering, eventually staying in academia to earn my doctorate (Dr.-Ing.). My dissertation work became a mission: using applied cryptography to create a web where you can mathematically verify data provenance without ever compromising user privacy.

The only thing I've loved as much as systems engineering is sports. For the past few years, my life has been a high-velocity split screen. By day, I worked remotely as a security engineer for Quantstamp Inc., architecting ZK-rollup scaling protocols for the Ethereum ecosystem. By night—and during endless weeks of global travel—I stepped onto the court on the international ITF and WTA tours as a tennis coach for my girlfriend. Together, we are fighting our way through the grueling pro circuit, climbing towards the Grand Slams.

Living simultaneously at the intersection of elite athletics and cutting-edge software engineering exposed a massive gap. The tools tracking the sports world were antiquated, while the tech I was building in Web3 was hyper-optimized.

Today, I’m building the bridge between those two worlds. I am the founder of a next-generation tennis software company that is going public very soon. We are transforming how athletic management is tracked, analyzed, and verified—bringing the absolute precision of cryptographic engineering directly to the tennis court. Stay tuned for what is about to come.
