My Life on Tour

My Last Years: Scaling ZK-Rollups, Coaching Pro Tennis, and a New Chapter
Life has a funny way of taking you on wildly different, yet equally intense paths.
If you looked at my calendar over the past year, you would have seen a chaotic, beautiful split screen: on one side, deep-diving into advanced cryptographic proofs for the Ethereum ecosystem; on the other, sitting in the player’s box at professional tennis tournaments, analyzing ball trajectories and court positioning.
After an incredible, fast-paced chapter juggling both worlds, I’m getting ready to step into a brand-new arena. Here is a look back at what I’ve been up to, and a sneak peek at what’s coming next.
Engineering at the Bleeding Edge: My Time at Quantstamp
In mid-January 2025, I joined the team at Quantstamp Inc. as a remote Software Developer and Security Engineer.
Quantstamp is renowned for securing the Web3 ecosystem, and my focus there was right at the cutting edge: working on a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) rollup protocol designed to scale the Ethereum blockchain. For over a year, my days were filled with validating cryptographic circuits, optimizing smart contract security, and pushing the boundaries of verifiable computation.
Even though the position was fully remote, the culture was incredibly tight-knit. From intense deep-dives during dedicated research retreats to collaborating with world-class minds at company retreats, it was an engineering playground that sharpened my systems design and cryptographic skills immensely.
Life on the Tour: Cryptography Meets the WTA
While my brain was in the EVM, my heart (and physical location) was frequently on the move. Outside of my engineering hours, I was traveling the world following my girlfriend, who is a professional tennis player.
Whenever I could find a pocket of time, I stepped out of the server room and onto the court as her tennis coach.
Professional tennis is a brutal, unforgiving grind. The travel is constant, and the margins between winning and losing are razor-thin. But the hard work is paying off. Over the past three years, we have fought our way up the international WTA rankings, climbing from world number 950 all the way back into the Top 500.
We are currently competing in ITF and WTA tournaments almost every single week. It’s an exhausting routine, but our ultimate goal is locked in: we want to break into the Grand Slams as soon as humanly possible.
The Next Chapter: Merging My Two Passions
Living simultaneously in the worlds of high-level software engineering and elite professional tennis opened my eyes to a massive gap in the market. I kept seeing how antiquated, siloed, or inefficient the software tools in the tennis world were compared to the hyper-optimized infrastructure I was used to building in tech.
That is why I have officially decided to close my chapter as an employee to pursue the ultimate challenge: building my own company.
We have been working quietly behind the scenes, and things are moving incredibly fast—so fast, in fact, that the company is going public very soon. I can't reveal the full architectural blueprint just yet, but I can tell you this: we are building next-generation tennis software designed to revolutionize how the sport is analyzed, tracked, and experienced. It is the perfect marriage of my engineering background, cryptographic precision, and years of hands-on coaching experience on the pro tour.
The foundation is laid, the trajectory looks great, and I can't wait to share what we’ve been cooking up. Get excited for what is about to come—we are just getting started! 🎾
